Magic is as common as air for most, but not for Takao. His lack of magic has always left him frustrated and looked down on. That is, until one of the greatest magical beings of all, the dragon god Sumire, takes an interest in him. When she decides to stay with him and even teach him magic, Takao can’t refuse; because if he does, the entire town may be destroyed. Alongside Sumire, Takao learns the great power magic holds. It can rip trees from the ground, shoot jets of fire into the air, and conquer the deadliest monsters, but it also lights homes, cooks meals, and transports water. Sumire joins Takao for an adventure through the enchanted lands of Teien with the goal of unlocking Takao’s hidden magic. Along the way, they discover that even powerful magic can’t clear the pain from their pasts or the loneliness in their hearts. Takao finds that he has more in common with the dragon god than he thought possible, but when dark forces threaten to take Sumire, will their relationship hold?
