Antoinette often known as Nette. Nette is in her 20s. She is a woman that uses she/her pronouns. She lives in a dystopian, alternate universe. Where the color of the mark you get on your skin after puberty dictates your job and personality. Nette gets a dark mark. People with dark marks are discriminated against. They often have trouble finding jobs. Many are often seen as dangerous. Mostly there are seen as lesser. Nette has a dark purple mark. Dark purple signifies gloom and sadness. Her dark purple mark is on her cheek in the shape of an x. It’s illegal to hide it. So Nette joins a peaceful rebellion.
