Being one of only two members of the writing club, Makoto has a goal of winning a writing contest, getting published, and having his work sold in stores. However, by every metric, he's average. If there's one thing he's certain about, it's that he's special—special because of his "future" in writing. Yet, time after time, contest after contest, he has failed.

Now in his second year of highschool, he will try to find his "golden-ticket" idea so everybody will realize how incredible he is at writing. Along the way to reach that goal, if he even does, he will meet some "eccentric" personalities that will "help' him.
