Long accustomed to the comforts of her mansion on the hill, the young dragon girl, Saya, is suddenly abandoned when her mother and maid depart on an airship, never to return. Alone and afraid, with only her cat to keep her company, Saya struggles to understand why she has been left behind.

One day, Suzhen, a wandering serpent spirit, stumbles upon the village nearby and learns of Saya's predicament. Taking the lost dragon under her wing, Suzhen helps Saya integrate into the daily life of the elven village, a place Saya was born in but never truly knew.
