The story follows a young boy named Akoni. Abandoned at a young age in a forest, the boy learns to hone his talent and acquires the rare power of a Conduit. Conduits, being those who possess limitless potential and the ability to either change the world or destroy it.
In his quest for purpose, Akoni journeys through strange lands, battles oppressive systems, and faces the growing turmoil within himself. All to answer the question:
"Can this lowly forest dweller, rise as a hero and bring peace to mankind?"
I was heavily inspired by african literature with this work. I think there is great vibrancy and world building to stories like ijapa the tortoise and anansi the spider.
