The protagonist Akoni must navigate a horrible world, facing all sorts of challenges on his quest to find meaning in himself and all the trials he has conquered thus far. Only then can he be at peace.
I was heavily inspired by african literature with this work. I think there is great vibrancy and world building to stories like ijapa the tortoise and anansi the spider.
