Synopsis

Seventy years after the catastrophic events of the eruption of Yellowstone and the mass explosion of gasoline everywhere, Terr, a young transporter, makes a living delivering packages for warring factions on his bicycle. When he's entrusted with a mysterious, extremely important package, Terr finds the place of delivery has been hit by a devastating attack, and that an entire faction’s base has been erased through the use of “novacide,” a powerful weapon. The sole survivor warns him that his package is actually a device called "Supernovacide," and that it has the power to destroy entire countries, or maybe even the world. Not wanting it to fall into the wrong hands, Terr must now run while being chased by a formidable faction called the Soul Brothers. All the while he has to wrestle with the heavy responsibility he never wanted and the grim reality of his fractured world.

Note from author

Thank you to anyone reading this that has read Cross Country! Even if you only read the first chapter, thank you. But especially thank you to those who finished the story. I hope you all enjoyed it. Being my first writing, it isn’t perfect, but I could definitely feel myself improving the more I wrote. Finally, I’d like to thank my sister (who chooses to remain nameless) for drawing the cover art and helping me edit.

Howdy! I'm KDbear, an aspiring author and college student, and this is actually my first work I'll ever be publishing (which I will be doing in the Alt-History category). Currently, I plan to release a chapter at least every Monday by 11:59 PM EST. I will hopefully be able to release around 8:00 PM EST, but gotta be realistic with balancing this and all my schoolwork. Anyways, thanks for reading, and I hope you enjoy reading the story as much as I enjoy writing it!
