After the war with the machines, humanity was driven to hide in underground shelters to survive. In one such shelter lived a pair of siblings—a brother and his sickly little sister. The older brother cared for her as best he could, but despite his efforts, he learned that the sister he so dearly loved did not have long to live. He was struck with grief and despair. The prospect of losing her was too tragic, and one he feared he couldn’t endure. And amidst it all, he realized he couldn’t bear the thought of his sister dying only seeing the cold metal walls of the underground shelter.

He wanted her to see more of the world, for her to experience something wonderful, something new and special. And thus, with his sweet little sister, he decided to leave for the surface. For her to witness the beauty of the world—to see the bright blades of green grass, to feel the warm sun and the cool breeze, and to behold the falling stars lighting up the night sky—before her inevitable departure.
