A young apprentice handyman from a sealed off in a post-apocalyptic city with highways made out of run-down skyscrapers meets on a fateful day two runaways from a world above his own. A young girl with a child in tow, on the run from a religious organization who has been hunting down the kid.

The handyman and the girl strike up a deal to hide the young fugitive and keep him safe for as long as they can. In the meantime, something more besides schemes start to bloom between the two partners in crime.
