In an unassuming cafe wedged between rows upon rows of corporate stores, uniquely itself when everything around it was unable to remain as themselves, two people meet. This won't change the fate of the doomed world, it won't offer humanity any kind of salvation, any answers to their desperate questioning; but it may provide for some solace, and maybe even a bit of entertainment. A strange boy finds themselves working for an even stranger woman, dealing with strange existences that have come about as the clock ticks closer to the hour hand's final destination. And maybe, just maybe, there is something to be found in their story.
