Elysia might be a paladin, but she has no plans to stay that way- she’s only back for one last job. After her brush with necromancy (and squids) in the Temple of Teuthida, she and Andrena have come to a temporary understanding. If Elysia can release the two remaining upper gods from their chains, she’s free to return to her old ways, oatcakes and all. It’s almost too good to be true.
Unfortunately, this pickle might be too tricky to solve with a big sword. It’s going to take old enemies, new friends, and a few cults along the way to satisfy Andrena and the rest of the pantheon and free Elysia from her bargain.
Will Duran avoid drowning again? Has the Voice of the Beetle once again made Elysia’s problems worse? What exactly happened to that giant squid in the Temple of Teuthida?
