The Demon King proclaimed that in one year, his armies will annihilate humanity. The Hero, Alan, had vanished in the Demon King's lands, leaving humanity no defense from their approaching demise.

The Hero Alan, meanwhile, has given up on saving the world. He has decided to run away to the furthest reaches, beyond humanity, beyond the Demon King, beyond everything. He'll run until he finds his place to die at the edge of the world, passing through the final moments of humanity.
