Karuta is a japanese-american girl who’s financial situation is not the best, so her dad ships her to an exchange student program, now she is headed to Germany.
She befriends another girl in school, Francine, who is popular and beautiful. As the two become closer friends, Karuta wonders if she should continue her adventures in Germany and leave her life as an exchange student or not?
