[The End is Now] is a sentiment I think everyone feels at some point in their lives. Whether it be on a global scale or on in our own lives, at some points it does feel like the world is ending, but it never really is. Since I read the prompt for this competition, I've been sucked down the rabbit hole of what the end of the world would look, and indeed feel like. "The World Ends in the Blink of an Eye" is my best attempt to capture what I've found down that rabbit hole melded with a deeply personal story of a young woman living in stagnation and her journey to find meaning. And of course, I threw in a giant eyeball. I can never tell a story without some flair, after all.
