Synopsis

Through incredibly vivid shared dreams, Mateo, a struggling young artist from a forgotten Portuguese town, and Seraphina, a worldwide famous but deeply lonely American pop diva, create an unbreakable link in a romance that genuinely crosses borders. Between her golden prison of celebrity and his world of economic deprivation, this friendship crosses a huge cultural gap. Mateo sets out on a desperate, reality-bending search across countries to find her because he is certain that their dreamscape sanctuary is real. Physical distance, financial obstacles, conflicting realities, and the suspicion of everyone around them are just a few of the enormous obstacles they must overcome while navigating their differences together. "The Star I Want to Reach" investigates if a subconsciously generated love may transcend cultural boundaries and be resilient enough to withstand the clash of two very different universes.

Note from author

This book was written as a symbol of both love and motivation.

"I dedicate this book to my unrequited love, and I know that fate is too real to be a dream."

I would also like to thank Honeyfeed and their team for organizing this contest.
