This story was a cute treat to read throughout. Detail is easily one of its strengths, and machu uses it to great effect when setting up the atmosphere, environment, setting, and characters. The prologue genuinely read like an anime opening episode to me with how visual the storytelling was.
The characters too were extremely adorable with their own quirks and attributes, while not straying too far from groundedness. It was relatively easy to imagine them as real within the scope of this yuri/shoujo setting. The main characters are explored in depth to a fair degree and even the side/background characters get some time to shine occasionally.
My main issue (more of a nitpick) is with the attribute that gives this story its strength: the detail. While it's extremely good at setting things up and immersing the reader, at certain times it can honestly feel a bit too much and even overwhelming when there isn't proper breathing room to prevent reader fatigue from kicking in.
Nearly every little action, micro-expression, and nuance is explained, and I feel that certain things could be simplified to give way/amplify the importance of other details and actions. Condensing feelings down to a single line can help the pacing and allow the reader to fill in the blanks through subtext.
Critic part over. I will end this review by saying this is a great story deserving of a great rating. If you'd like something a bit more grown up than a highschool setting whilst still keeping certain charms inherent to academic life, or you just enjoy yuri in general, I would recommend this a read!
