Though the Laya isn't very boisterous, she's an excellent protagonist with complex feelings. When she loses her mentor, Nair, you can really tell how much he meant to her. Now that she's taken the mantel of Keeper from her teacher, you can tell she's nervous but is courageous enough to stand firm against the upcoming threats. Would love to see more of this series.
