"If I cant fly through the sky, will you fly for me?"

Akaru Kisaragi never expected anything from his summer on Akaruijima-a sleepy island where time flows gently and the waves never shout. Burdened by guilt and memories he wont name, he only wanted to disappear into silence.

But silence has a way of being broken.

One day, under a lighthouse shimmering in the haze of dusk,he meets Himari Saegusa- a girl with long red hair, brilliant blue eyes, a walking cane and a dream far too big for her fragile body. She speaks of airplanes and skies, of distant places and laughter carried by the wind. And though the doctors say her time is limited, she smiles like she has forever.

As the summer fades,they begin to stitch together a bond that trascends illnessand time. But reality has a cruel altitude limit-and both of them will have to choose: let go,or hold on until the very end.

Because even a withered flower, in the right light can bloom just once more.
