For 500 years, the continent of Ardenia was ruled by the Shadow Princes, powerful demons who imposed their will and fed on the despair of its people—a period known as the Demon's Age. One hundred eighty years ago, a group of adventurers ended this dark age and founded a guild called the “Rising Sun” to guard the dungeon where the original demon, Lucifero, was sealed after his defeat.

After years of undertaking quests, Lied suffers a devastating loss and gives up on his life as an adventurer, making ends meet with odd jobs at the guild. Everything changes when, during one of these tasks, he witnesses a mysterious creature appear and be swiftly slain by an enigmatic—and stunning—adventurer known as “The Knight Princess.” The new monster unsettles the guild, and the arrival of the princess promises to turn Lied’s world upside down, forcing him to confront his past and find the courage to embrace the power he has always feared.
