Lu’s Boys and the Man from Earth
A rural sci-fi novel by Wataru
Ron Hosen was a widowed farmer with a busted tractor, a half-empty cider jug, and not a soul left to lean on. When a strange offer arrives to relocate his entire homestead to a mysterious, sunlit isle far beyond Earth, Ron takes the leap—and wakes up surrounded by catfolk refugees with big hearts and bigger appetites.
With the help of Lu, a sharp-tongued housekeeper with a hidden tenderness, and her ragtag crew of adopted brothers—Uno through Seis, plus a few more as the story grows—Ron rebuilds his farm, one muddy bootstep at a time. Together, they press cider, tame alien crops, and distill some of the finest booze this side of the stars.
But the real harvest? Love, purpose, and a family forged in laughter, hard work, and the steady light of a never-setting sun.
