“I died solving crimes. Now I live committing them—legally.”
Yui Katagiri, Tokyo's sharpest mind, met her absurd end not by a bullet, but by a slippery patch of pavement, equally humiliating.
Was this tragic irony the end of her career? No. Not even close.
Now, instead of the afterlife, she's "resting" as a notorious villainess in a medieval kingdom straight out of a web novel. But Yui doesn't just live the tropes; she deduces the panels, and needs to understand the genre.
Armed with her detective instincts and a healthy dose of meta-awareness, she's determined to expose the real corruption. Even if it means "girlbossing" her way through political intrigue and turning the standard "villainess story" on its head.
Realizing the situation, she’s shocked—how did she become what she hated most?
Therefore... here comes a task: can a modern mind outsmart destiny and solve crimes when the medieval universe itself wants her to play the bad guy?
This is the story of growth and development, but reversed/subverted out of moral dilemma.
This story explores how one can be corrupted by, or control, the power given to them. I added the 'shounen' tag, considering how fitting the main character is, along with her reasonable development in facing these RPG-like elements. It also shows how the world truly works: life is cruel, but you must keep going. Just as Yui died in vain, for absolutely nothing, only to end up becoming a villainess. Not a bad one, mind you, but a misunderstood and kind one, yet willing to break and destroy anything for what she wants out of revenge. This is all told using panels and interactive layers of comedy, entertainment, and passion to satisfy you, the readers. That's all. Best of luck to all of you who join the competition or read this. I wish you all the best in life: there's no need to get isekai'd.
