Love Between Worlds

I'm gonna be real with you all - I'm a sucker for romance, especially heartwarming and wholesome romances. But this story goes above and beyond my expectations, above and beyond what I thought I would find on the Honeyfeed platform. And there are several good reasons.

First and foremost, it flows SO WELL. The author knows what they're doing, and structures their writing like a composer, effortlessly well. It's an understatement to say that I was captivated the whole way through.

Also, the characters are like little candies. Each one it meticulously crafted, and each one is unique, from the mains to the backgrounds. The main characters, Lydia and Lorelei, are beautifully done. Especially in Lydia's case, I was instantly emotionally connected with her. In fact, the only qualm I have with this story is that Lorelei didn't get enough screen time in the real world.

Finally, this story is such a breath of fresh air - generally, isekai's are action-packed books filled with endless fight scenes and high-stakes encounters. Whilst Ribbons Apart does have its fair share of tension, it's much more focused on the emotional growth of the characters as they navigate their new lives, and the obstacles they face along the way which are more often than not solvable through dialogue, which is also done to a very high standard.

In conclusion, this is the type of book that if I had a physical copy I would re-read every few months. I am heavily biased towards romances of this type, but I can't fully express how much I enjoyed this story. 100% recommend giving it a go even if you're only remotely interested.
