Jubei Tashiro's hopes of becoming a paramedic come to a tragic end when a boxing match proves fatal.

By some miracle, his spirit ends up in the body of a recently deceased Vagabond in the slums of Shiren, a town explicitly designed for one purpose: to distract the Zombie hordes, buying time for the nobles to protect the citadel. A citadel... that doesn't include the slums.
