Omg, I just finished reading Trapped in an Unknown Otome and I am currently malfunctioning because it was so good! You see the title and think, "Okay, another isekai where the girl falls into a game," but no, this one hits different. Rika is such a mood. She just wanted to chill with a game and suddenly she is a Saint in a palace with five hot guys? Sign me up, please!
First of all, the boys. We have to talk about the boys. Dryden is literally everything. I know he starts off kind of difficult, but his character development? Chef's kiss. There were moments where I was screaming at my screen because the tension was so high. And Wolfe warming up to her was the cutest thing ever. The author does such a good job of giving everyone their own time to shine, like Kael, who was honestly a standout for me.
The system with the lights on their heads was such a cool touch! It made the "game" aspect feel real but also helpful for Rika to navigate all that crazy political intrigue. Speaking of drama, the plot isn't just fluff. There are actual stakes!
Chapter 37. That confession scene? I was on the floor. It was so romantic I think I stopped breathing for a second. But then Chapter 40 hit with that plot twist and I was like "EXCUSE ME?!" I did not see that coming at all. It changed the whole vibe and made me question everything about their world.
The ending gave me so many feels. The realization that they are part of this world and not just pixels she can take home... it hurts in a good way. It is bittersweet but feels so right.
If you love reverse harems where the MC actually has a personality and the guys are all dangerously handsome (Team Dryden for life!), you need to read this immediately. 4.85/5 stars because I am obsessed and I miss them already!
