CRASHcrush - Vol. 1 is a really enjoyable start to a new anime-style novel. The story kicks off with a funny and lighthearted beginning that immediately grabs attention. The humor is a strong point in the early chapters, and the overall tone makes the start of the journey feel cool and engaging. It’s a promising introduction that shows a lot of potential for the series.
That said, there are a few areas that could be improved. Some chapters feel a bit repetitive, which slightly slows down the pacing. Also, while the humor is strong in the beginning, it fades as the story progresses, I hope future volumes bring back more of those humoristic moments alongside the deeper story arcs, especially with the upcoming demon arc.
As for presentation, the cover is decent but very basic. Since the story itself has so much energy and style, I think future volumes would really benefit from a more dynamic and story-driven cover design.
Overall, this is a solid first volume: funny, engaging, and a good setup for what’s to come. With a little more balance in humor and pacing, and a stronger cover design, this series has the potential to become something truly memorable.😁
