Born from a Nederlandse mother and a Japanese Father, Taitaku Hyouma was living the modern youngster's dream.
Between playing the popular "Blazing Blason" game professionally with his E-sport team, as the strategist, and being raised in a caring, stress-free environment, all he really had to do was to focus on keeping his health in check and to keep up with his studies enough so that he would have a back-up plan just in case.
But then it happened.
One day, while on the plane with his teammates to reach the european venue hosting a large international tournament, the plane entered thunderstorm. And far from unprecedented in and of itself, what was however, was that after a single extremely loud crack, five people had vanished.
Among them, Hyouma, regained consciousness only to find himself sitting on an altar, in a place unknown and surrounded by people wearing robes. He had been summoned.
This story mixes modern (21th/22th century) aspects and middle-aged fantasy components and tackles a few thought-provoking topics (stuff like equality/politics and religion) but it is in no way an attempt to deftly promote any kind of conviction I could have personally, so I beg of you not to take any of this personally either.
And I encourage any reader of fantasy content in general, to try and detach themselves from their own convictions and to dive into these worlds free of expectations and other such limitations for an improved experience.
Let your thoughts be provoked, doubt, wander, search, accept, reject and feel. Fight your selves and work towards peace.
I welcome any and all kinds of comments, but I won't necessarily answer, especially if it comes to unconstructive hate/criticism.
And lastly I hope you will feel something when reading this story. Anything works, anger, disgust, glee, anticipation, you name it.
