After being a slave to the family's traditions and martial arts his entire life, Yuushin finally chose freedom to start working with his true passion; art.

Yet instead of finishing the new animation's deadline, he gets transported into an unknown world, Ekkarys, alongside many others—right into a forest crawling with bloodthirsty creatures that take no time at all to turn 1000 humans into a double digit.

When he almost dies three times in the span of a few hours, Yuushin is forced not only to rely on the karate he abandoned, but as well as master the new powers awakening within him. And it turns out mishandling those powers can result in some nasty everlasting scars.

As he makes allies, more than his survival, Yuushin starts investigating for ways to return home. Yet after getting involved with the forces that rule over Ekkarys, and getting on the wrong folks' bad side, what at first seemed to be a challenging task soon becomes a foolish attempt to gamble with Fate.
