In his careless grief, he nearly gets killed by a young, miserable girl named Alice, forced into the life of an assassin by the oppressive Eric, and still having unfinished business with the God of Death. This is the story of how Tenshi spies on Alice and her guild in order to find out what they know, and he eventually comes to wish to free her from her life as an assassin.
