Greek Mythology · God x Mortal · Slow Burn | In 412 BCE, Mēlesía hunts to feed her family. One mistake sends her after a stag into a rare, naturally formed ring of fig trees, trespassing into the domain of Nýxios, god of the unseen. Blinded as punishment for the stag, she is told she may leave, and regain her sight, only if she can find the ring's border. A huntress since youth, Mēlesía moves by instinct, memory, and sound, and ends up changing more than just Nýxios and herself.
To Note: All the cities and villages mentioned in The Blind Huntress are real places from around 412 BCE, except for Mēlesía’s home village, Perisykē, which I created for the story. The same goes for the gods: they’re all from real Greek mythology, except for Nýxios, a god I came up with specifically for The Blind Huntress.
Hope you enjoy the short historical plotline!
I wanted to challenge myself with this one.
