The world of Sigdra is plagued by the formation of labyrinths, mysterious structures that harbor creatures both natural and unworldly within them. Purveyors are those who explore and purify these labyrinths, whether that be for fame, riches, or other personal gain. The Root, also referred to as Sigdra's Root, is a massive labyrinth that has yet to be fully conquered and a goalpost for many aspiring and active purveyors.
Kai is summoned involuntarily to the world of Sigdra due to the remnants of an old summoning ritual and must figure out how to live his new life in this unfamiliar world.
