A sweet fairy tale… but in Hell!

Well... this story captivated me in a different way. It brought back a deep sense of nostalgia from the times when I used to read fairy tales and old legends. And that, without a doubt, was a very pleasant surprise.

From talking animals to the magical world (which is actually Hell), the execution was impeccable, creating strong immersion within its own proposal. Throughout the text, you can clearly see the attention given to details: whether in the libraries or the gardens, there are always interesting concepts that help us visualize the world vividly. Because of that, I can only congratulate the author for such fine work.

Overall, the story is mostly about the adventures and playful moments of the three main characters. While this may give the impression of being just slice-of-life, we can't let our guard down. At any moment, we might be caught by one of Lucien's antics or by someone trying to get a piece of Grace. In short, there's always something happening, and the way the characters react to it makes the whole experience very enjoyable to follow.

That said, I do have two remarks.

The first is that the story leaves you wanting more. For me, the main characters were captivating enough that I need to know more about them and see them in different situations. I would definitely love to see more of Grace, Lucien, and Kuro facing new challenges... perhaps now on Earth? Or even in a prequel before the main events? It would be very interesting, and I will certainly come back to reread it. (Now that I already know what happens, I can pay attention to every detail.)

Second, about the ending…

I think it's unanimous that a lot happened all at once, no doubt about that. While I understand the need to accelerate the pacing, I still feel it went by a little too quickly. However, this isn't enough to diminish the journey, nor to make me cut a star. The characters' fun personalities are strong enough to carry the entire story. The steady pacing and pleasant writing style also remained consistent throughout. For me, the ending is important, but the road leading there has the exact same weight. I laughed a lot, had fun building little theories, and truly enjoyed following along.

Highly recommended to everyone, especially if, like me, you also enjoy fairy tales and fantasy. Don't waste another moment: read this work! Fun is guaranteed.
