This was an incredibly fun book to read! There are lots of "dime in a dozen" isekai RPGs out there, and this story is one of the better ones! This RPG story had a very casual tone and a light plot that didn't disrupt the "slice of life" moments between the characters, which I had a great time slowly getting to know. I honestly thought Syorin, Neila, Astill, and Four's personalities, quirks, and characters were very well written, memorable, and far from one-dimensional.
Although there were some hints throughout, the only thing I kinda wished to see more of was Kakashi's past story, character, and perhaps his previous life of gaming is what led him to be so good at strategy games that he applied to in the game world. But I loved how, although his abilities seem powerful, it's not without downsides, and he learned the benefits and limitations of his power. I also liked that he was presented with different challenges that he had to utilize his party and abilities in different strategic ways. A few battles and descriptions were hard to follow, but I understand why, since it's not the easiest to describe Kakashi's power and players going in turns word-for-word.
But despite those minor gripes and other small inconsistencies, they didn't stop me from enjoying the character interactions that were well-written and slowly built up in learning more about them. I seriously had a great time reading this, and I'm sure many others would find joy in reading about the characters' journey together! Definitely worth a read!
