In a world born from divine exile, twelve celestial beings — the Zodiacs — rule over the remnants of creation.
Each carries the fragment of a fallen god’s power and the curse of His silence.
When the Thirteenth Star awakens — a being who remembers the world before the fall — old covenants begin to unravel.
As kingdoms tremble and constellations fade, the Zodiacs must face the truth behind their creation:
They were never saviors. They were replacements.
The Zodiac Covenant is a mythical anti-isekai that blends celestial lore, betrayal, and existential tragedy in a world where gods have abandoned their stars.
Thank you to everyone who’s taken the time to read, support, or even just glance at The Zodiac Covenant. Writing this story for the MAL x Honeyfeed x Kadokawa 2025 contest has been a journey of faith, rebellion, and rediscovery — both for me and for the characters themselves.
This story was born from the idea of what happens after the fall — when the light fades, and all that’s left is the will to understand why. It’s an anti-isekai rooted in mythology and human imperfection, a retelling of creation and defiance through a world fractured by divine mistakes.
Whether or not it becomes a finalist, I’m proud of what this story stands for: that even in ruin, meaning can still be found.
To everyone who entered this year’s contest — we’re all dreamers chasing the same impossible sky. 🌌
