Aina, a robotics engineer died in a sabotage, only to awaken in a famine-stricken world where survival is measured in scraps of food and borrowed time. Colossal monsters roam and broken mechas dotted the landscape. To protect her children, she must take charge or perish.

For peasants like Aina, now reborn as the despised mother Rinia, life offers little more than the choice of where to lay down and die.

But Aina, now Rinia refuses to surrender. Her children’s eyes beg for hope, and she vows to never fail them. Armed with her engineering skill and an iron will, she begins to salvage the wrecks of abandoned warstriders. To protect her family, she must rebuild what the world has given up, even if it means turning the monsters’ own bodies into humanity’s last hope.
