I honestly did not expect to laugh this hard at an isekai novel, but this one is a total fever dream in the best way possible. Usually, people get hit by a truck or summoned by a goddess, but getting transported because of a massive hangover? That is just iconic behavior.

The dynamic between the main characters is what makes this story absolute gold. They are not overpowered heroes trying to save the world (at least not at first); they are just two friends trying to figure out where they are and why their heads hurt so much. It felt so relatable because who hasn't made bad decisions with their bestie? The banter is top-tier. I was wheezing during the scenes where they try to piece together the night before while dealing with fantasy monsters. It gave me major "The Hangover" vibes but with magic, and it works so well.

The pacing is super fast, which fits the chaotic energy of the story. You don't have time to get bored because something ridiculous is always happening. One moment they are fighting for their lives, and the next they are arguing about who paid the bar tab. It is that kind of whiplash that keeps you scrolling.

I also really appreciated that underneath all the comedy, there is a genuine bond between them. They have each other's backs even when they are being totally incompetent. It is surprisingly wholesome? In a messy, disaster-human kind of way.

If you are tired of serious, brooding protagonists and just want to read something that feels like a fun night out with your friends (minus the headache, hopefully), you have to pick this up. It is fresh, it is hilarious, and it is definitely one of my new faves. 4.69/5 stars because I need more of this chaos immediately!
