It is the Seventh Year of the Sonwa Era, and the Empire of Ka lies in shattered pieces.
Ren, a young boy who lives in a forgotten village in the backwaters of the Empire, scrapes together a living alongside his friends by trying to put some of the pieces of the shattered world back together. All in accordance to the teachings of their mysterious Teacher.
One day, Li Ginshi, the princess of one of the states of the Empire, stumbles into the village in need of help. Eventually, Ginshi, with Ren as her Strategist, will not only fight for survival amidst the chaos of this age of warring states, but remake the world as they knew it.
However, amidst all the heroics, the two eventually agreed upon one thing: "I want to go home."
