This author really knows how to write prose and structure a story. This short story is written at professional quality with an interesting premise, and is dark and fucked-up in a way that kept me glued to the page. Though it’s not for the faint of heart, I really enjoy reading this sort of stuff, and the way it’s written is in the exact style I like.
In terms of criticism, the ending bit was probably my least favorite part, which does harm a story—it’s better if it’s the other way and leaves a good taste in your mouth. However, it wasn’t bad or anything, and I would definitely recommend this story to fans of thrillers or dark material. It’s also good science fiction.
