Miauklys achieves quite a bit in just 7k words. We begin with a sense of dread that sets the opening chapter up to have a dark cloud hanging over it. Mina is relatable, nervous, and a little naive. she’s willing to meet sketchy people to get a device she thinks will make her truly happy and successful. I don’t want to spoil much, but things go badly very quickly. We get realistic character development, strong prose, and an intriguingly grimy world that is totally believable. Though it’s cyberpunk, we can all see this story unfolding today too. great work kupo.
