Kazuki thought writing a fantasy novel where the hero destroys the world would be clever. What he never expected was to wake up inside that world. When Kazuki tries to expose the truth about the hero secretly being a villain, he's branded a madman and marked for death. He manages to escape, and now he has to find a way to stop the hero Madhan from achieving the goal he wrote in his novel. But how will he stop a person whom this world celebrates as one of the most beloved heroes in its history?
My entry for MALxHoneyfeed contest. I had this idea that I fiddled around with, having the main protagonist not be viewed as a hero, due to his views on this world's hero and actions that he puts himself into, trying to expose the hero. So I thought I'd try to write a story around it, since I had some outlines for the story.
This gives me interesting options for the hero's growth, as well as some alternative worldbuilding. Typically, in these sorts of settings, the protagonist is a hero who communicates with royalty, whereas we have our protagonist trying to be killed for slandering the hero.
