Kimi Tanaka was a rising high school senior in Sapporo who excelled in her academics - and her parents hoped that she'd use this scholarly prowess to attend the University of Tokyo, the University of Osaka, or Kyoto University!

Kimi however, had other plans! She wanted to follow and further perfect the passions that she already had: cosplay, trading card design, and manga illustration. And though she didn't know it - she'd soon be getting far more than she could ever imagine in that realm soon enough!

After Kimi emerges as one of the top winners in a competition involving cosplaying as an original character and providing card designs for the brand new fantasy card game, "Sorcerers and Slayers" - she, the other winners, and the first few thousand players to purchase booster packs in Japan, are transported to the world of the game - where the only ways out are to perish and risk having no memories of it, or to win - which would bring far more than anyone could ever fathom!
