Soft Boys and One Perfect Kiss

Let me just say, this story was a blast to read.
My Dreams Tasted Like You is beautiful and emotional, and full of soft tension that lingers long after you finish reading. It follows Ewan, a mysterious boy with a not-so-human past, and Rory, a bright, carefree soul who slowly worms his way into Ewan’s heart.
What starts as a gentle lakeside adventure quickly dives into deeper, darker waters, and the result is a masterful romance.
The character writing is so strong here. Ewan is written with this aching vulnerability that makes you want to reach through the screen and protect him. And Rory is a character who feels like light itself, his presence fills every scene with warmth. Their dynamic is filled with tension and sweetness, and pain in all the right ways. There's no instant confession or forced drama.
The supernatural elements are there to enhance the romance, but I wish they were explored longer; I wanted more details.
The writing style is atmospheric and emotional. It trusts the reader to feel what’s not said, which I loved.
If you're into slow-burn BL romance, magical realism, or character-driven stories that deal with real emotional stakes, this one's 100% worth your time. It’s a quick read, too.

So glad I shelved it until I had time to read it in one setting.
