In return, he seeks the mage’s aid in harvesting valuable parts from such creatures, his hidden goal being the freedom of a gladiator slave, once a noble knight of a fallen kingdom and someone from his past. Each step, choice, and bond draws Maeda deeper into a destiny larger than himself, as the secrets of this world and his place within it slowly unravel.
