Meet Raiden Rymboven, the Calamity Child. Born on the eve of a great thunderstorm, mixed-blood, mostly human, only small part elf, so small that not even a shred of elven lineage is visible on him; weaker than the average human, disastrous when it comes to anything even remotely related to magic.
Growing up used to being called names, Raiden finally left his hometown Laudenfel to enroll at the Academy of Altheria, where eons of tradition and knowledge reside. When he turns 19, recurrence of the disaster which struck his hometown on his birth came to ravage Altheria--unleashing the horrors of the world sealed away 6,000 years ago with it.
Against unsurmountable odds, Raiden's strange memories might be the key to unlock the secrets of combating the disaster.
Hi, this is my first-ever attempt at publishing a Novel (Light Novel, specifically. The last one was a bust since I couldn't skip even a day of work to write), I am not a novelist, so pardon the contents, but I do hope to achieve something, since I've been scribbling drafts since I was young, but no novels ever came out of them.
With this, I hope to finally break the cycle.
