And for a time he believed it. But after meeting [her], he was determined change his fate, to resign himself to a more humble destiny.
Yet fate is not so easily swayed, and a call for help from former allies working to free their new nation from the grip of an all-powerful Empire thrusts Melrath back to center stage.

Please Evaluate And Critique Honesty
This is a VERY rough first draft, and very much a work in progress. (There may be author's and editing notes still in the text but I'll do may best to clean it up.)
Loosely based on a DnD campaign I ran years ago. I still have a lot of world building to do. And the timeline is wonky. And I may fk up past - present tense once in a while (sometimes on purpose even).
Just, I don't know, looking for feedback to see if I should even bother continuing the project or not.
