Journalist Nicolas's investigation into the defunct gaming company, OldMind Studios, catapults him into their abandoned VR project—a world where death is permanent. Marked as a "Zinox," one of the cursed players, he is hunted by NPCs built from the consciousness of the dead. To find a way home, Nicolas must unite a scattered group of cynical survivors and confront the game’s god-like tyrants who control their digital prison.
