Marcus Macready, a 22 year old NEET living in an upscale apartment with a loving family. With no cares and no responsibilities, his life was perfect. One day, he is urged by his friends to join them in playing the most hyped MMORPG of the decade, Birthright: For The New World, a fantasy RPG series rich in lore and countless ways to build your perfect hero. Ready to break in his brand new VR headset, Marcus is more than happy to tag along.

Everything begins perfectly as he explores the town and battles some beasts, until his headset suddenly vanishes and the game world around him begins to feel much more real. Now trapped within the game as his avatar, Marcus must learn how to fight and survive in accordance to the game's rules.

He's not the only one either, as others have been mysteriously dragged in as well. If Marcus ever hopes to leave, he must seek out the others, forge alliances, and get to the bottom of why it is they were all brought here in the first place.
