OMG, I am actually shaking after finishing this volume. "Jason is Dead"? The title alone had me spiraling before I even clicked the first chapter, and let me tell you, TheLeanna_M did NOT hold back. This isn't just a thriller; it is full-on psychological torture in the best way possible.
First of all, poor Jessica Sanchez. Can we just give her a break? The whole concept of her memories being "not hers" and finding out she might not even be who she thinks she is? That hit me so hard. In "The Ghost in the Machine" (Chapter 2), when she starts questioning her own existence, I was literally staring at my ceiling having an existential crisis with her. It feels so real and raw, not like those fake edgy stories. You can feel her desperation to find the truth about Vanguard and Dominion, even if it hurts.
The plot is a total maze—literally "labyrinth of secrets" is the perfect description. The journey from Belize to the ancient catacombs was so atmospheric. I loved the creepy vibes in the "Dead Men and Paper Trails" chapter; it felt like a horror movie but with more spies and hacking. And the dynamic with Leanna and Olivia? Queens. They are the only thing keeping Jessica (and me!) sane through this mess. Their loyalty is everything.
The suspense is actually suffocating. knowing Jason’s body was found but Jessica is still walking around... it makes every interaction feel dangerous. You don't know who to trust or what is real. The climax? I won't spoil it, but let's just say "betrayal, faith, and fire" is not an exaggeration. I was screaming at my screen!
I know it is a raw file and the formatting can be a bit blocky (wall of text alert!), but honestly? You stop caring after paragraph two because the story is just that gripping. It drags you in and doesn't let go. If you love mysteries that mess with your head and make you question reality, this is a MUST-READ. 4.88/5 because I need therapy after this, but I love it so much!
