What's the fastest way to get rich? 12 years old Ialan and his 15 years old adopted sister, Marina, are grieving the recent loss of a close friend as they move from their dimension to a human city, Caotica. Marina has 5 years left on Earth, and Ialan has committed himself to helping her fulfill wishes before death.

Time moves on 2 & ½ years later. Part of her goals is to search for the 'Diamerald Stone' to sell and get dirty rich for sefish resons (mostly anyway), but also to fund her Volunteered "Helping Homeless Children" Program.

As they adjust to a new life away from their father, they reunite with old friends and foes, two being David, and "Lena".

They all coexist while secretly being witches, some "Necromen", among powerless, clueless humans.
