Luck isn't always good. Nabu Kazuha was a typical office supervisor but a spineless coward. "The nail that sticks out gets hammered down" was drilled into him. Everyone has a crest on them at birth. a connected pentagram with 5 color gem-like symbols on their chest; Red (Str), Blue (Int), Green (Agi), Purple (Wisdom), and Yellow (Dexterity). Death isn't permanent, but it has a price. Only fresh corpses can be resurrected but at the cost of a random stat point. If any stats hit zero, One of the gems on your chest fade away and you become statless; you lose everything. A slave to the system and death is permanent. The world is cruel and so are the people.
