Synopsis

What should have been a day of fun at the local amusement park turns into a gripping adventure. Ashton just wanted to get home to fiddle with computer parts when he along with three other teenagers are pulled through time to the early days of conflict between the Aztecs and Tlaxcala.

Lumbering before the four are giants from a completely lost civilization, and now all four of the teenagers will be changed by the conflict that they have been drawn into. Witches, Wizards, and ancient mechs all collide in ancient Mesoamerica. Will Ashton survive being displaced in time? Will he ever go home again?

Winged Serpent was born of an idea to create something similar to Yoshiyuki Tomino's original Isekai Mecha Aura Battler Dunbine. Originally, a friend who I'll refer to as Q and I threw ideas at the wall at Six Flags. It was always going to be an isekai, but the nature of the story evolved when I finally decided to write it when I discovered the Isekai Contest.

In fact, this is the fastest that I've written a story ever.

Because it was born at a Six Flags, I decided to put the starting point at a amusement park that no longer exists. For copyright reasons, I obscured that park's name, but if you get the hints, it is pretty obvious which park in Houston, Texas it is suppose to be.

Originally, Ashton was suppose to face a greater loss at the climax of the first book. I changed that because I had grown to like another character as I wrote. My scythe was spared.
