Every flight has its ritual. For Kori, the ground crew mechanic who keeps her squadron's interceptors flying, it’s a small sticker - a little flower pressed carefully onto the nose cone of the jet she's responsible for before every sortie. Each one marks a safe return. Each one keeps her heart steady as the engines scream into the sky.
But when the young pilot she adores begins to change, so too does the meaning behind each sticker. What began as a superstition becomes something more - a fragile bridge between love and loss, between the earth and the endless blue above.
